As a newbie in the world of home coffee brewing - I wanted to increase my knowledge and make better expresso-based drinks at home. We had a small class (4) which was a perfect environment to learn and ask questions as necessary. Dean and Ollie (I apologise if I have got/spelt their names wrong) were patient, informative and above all, friendly. There was no snobbery involved and I felt very comfortable in enquiring on the information given and the techniques shown. I left the course with a renewed passion for trying to make better coffee (we all know it can be SO frustrating sometimes!).
If you’re wondering about whether to attend or not - I would say definitely try it. There’s no coffee machine, online video or book which is a ‘magic bullet’ for making better coffee - you’re much better off (in the long run) picking the brains of people who do this on a daily basis, for a few hours. They are more than happy to impart their knowledge to us and are own specific situations. It was a fun way to spend a few hours with likeminded people imo.
