Origin 20 | Brewing Resolute

Often found in the hopper at our independent speciality coffee shop partners, and at our own sites, Resolute provides a reassuringly familiar, great-tasting coffee all year round. Our roasters create blend recipes so that when the components change, due to the seasonality of coffee, the tasting profile remains the same. For a regular, well-rounded cup of coffee to start the day, Resolute is a perfect choice for a reliable everyday brew.

We spent some time behind the counter with Barista Trainer for Edinburgh, Fraser Ballantyne, who shared his insights on Resolute with us, plus some recipes that have us looking at this Origin classic in a whole new light.

Oat Flat White

“A flat white is one of the most popular espresso-based drinks, it’s quickly become a modern classic. To make a good flat white, we need to start with a great espresso. This recipe is designed to yield a very punchy espresso that will really cut through the milk and retain the chocolatey, caramel notes that this coffee is renowned for.”
