Curated by Director of Coffee, Freda Yuan, our annual Lunar New Year coffee collection spotlights exceptional coffee and producers from across Asia.
Championing quality and collaboration, this year’s selection features vibrant and complex flavours from China and for the first time at Origin, Thailand and Taiwan. We caught up with Freda to discuss Lunar New Year celebrations, new traditions and sourcing a coffee from her homeland for the first time.
“Our annual Lunar New Year coffee programme allows us to share and spotlight rare and unique coffees from across Asia with our community and share the stories of under-represented producing regions. It’s a project that’s close to my heart, one that allows me to bring a part of my heritage to Origin, and I’m excited to continue growing this celebration here year after year.”

Lunar New Year Tasting Events
Join us as we welcome in the Year of the Snake with incredible brewing. Throughout January, we’re hosting tasting experiences, exclusive small group brewing sessions, and an exclusive evening with our sourcing partners, where we’ll explore the rich history and promising future of Asian coffee.
Discover rare and remarkable coffees, travel through taste and explore how terroir, climate, processing and brew method influence the flavour profile in the final cup.
